I recently started my new collection of watercolor galaxies.

I was reminded why I returned to painting. I saw images of galaxies and I really wanted to learn how to paint them but I had no idea where to begin. At that point I was only an artist who explored pencil drawing.

I took on the challenge and I found one art teacher, by the name of Ana Victoria Calderon. She had just started teaching on youtube glimpses of how she did her watercolors.

That's where I learned for the first time how to do watercolor galaxies. However, it wasn't enough that I started learning, I had to practice and practice. They looked awful and for a while I gave up.

Later I returned to creating them and I started to feel more comfortable and really enjoyed making them myself.

At one point I even decided to put a youtube video out of my own process, click here to watch.

Recently I felt a need to create a collection of galaxies. I wanted to add hints of gold peaking through and so that's what you will see in this collection. You will also see that I'm using round watercolor paper. I wanted to do them on this style of paper because I wanted to give them an element of uniqueness.
